Top 5 Way to Transition Your Wardrobe to Fall

It's fall yawl!  We are so ready for our boots, scarves, leggings, and jackets... oh my! Meanwhile around here at Gigi's in NC, its 90 degrees. This calls for getting a little creative dressing for fall while staying cool in the warm temps. No need to buy specific pieces for these awkward few weeks. Here are 5 easy ways to incorporate what you have into a early fall wardrobe.

1. Layer
Keep those summer swing dresses in your closet and add a cute layer to change it to a fall piece. A cute textured or denim vest with a dress and booties is a great casual look.

2.  Accessories Layer light scarves with a maxi or sleeveless blouse for a fall look with pieces in your closet. A floppy or fedora hat can also be worn with lighter pieces.

3. Wear White!

Yes, ladies you can wear white after labor day. We just love the look of a kimono or sweater with white jeans and boots.

4. Wear Color!

A great fall look is to choose pieces that are fall colors. A short sleeved blouse in this warm yellow makes me think of pumpkins and squash!

5.  Denim.

All the denim. Denim tunics with boots or leggings, layer denim tops over tanks, or add jeans to a dress like this one.

Of course if you need any special fashion tips from Gigi or some fresh accessories to incorporate these ideas, we got you covered. We have great new arrivals in fine consigned items from J. Crew, Banana Republic, Kate Spade etc. We also have great boutique pieces like floppy hats and scarves.

And of course the perfect piece to bring fall in is a new handbag! Gigi's has amazing Brahmin bags, Dooney and Bourke, Michael Kors, and more. Take a peek at our website, www.gigisboutique-nc.com.
